In 2025, JENGA expanded the reach of some of its most impactful programmes in the areas of children’s ministry, youth development, business administration, and discipleship of leaders. To multiply our impact, we launched 13 ‘apostolic centres’ across Eastern Uganda. These centres serve as regional training hubs where leaders are equipped to train others and launch programmes in new, unreached geographical areas.
Through this network, nearly 350 churches of multiple expressions are actively participating. Each church sends three delegates to be trained in each of the four subject areas, creating a growing movement of over 3,000 local leaders who have attended our trainings and are prepared to serve their communities.
With this model, we are seeing a 10-fold increase in JENGA’s scope of work, the number of partners involved, and impact.
Ronald, a farmer and businessman from Budaka, serves as an administrator and Sunday school teacher at his church. Before attending the trainings on children’s ministry at his local apostolic centre, he struggled to manage the children in his class and often became frustrated and harsh when they misbehaved. As a result, many parents stopped sending their children to Sunday school, and only about 10 children attended each week.
Through the training, Ronald learned how to prepare engaging lessons, guide children with patience, and build meaningful relationships with them and their families. As his approach changed, so did the response from the community.
In just one year, his Sunday school has grown from 10 children to more than 200! He now leads the class alongside three assistant teachers. Because of the positive change the community has seen, Ronald was recently elected area youth leader.
